The Social and Learning Institute
Services:
The Social & Learning Institute is a privately funded non-profit organization providing a day program for adults with intellectual & developmental disabilities. It is the Institute’s mission to enrich these individuals’ lives by providing opportunities to engage with their peers, expand their talents & abilities, practice important life skills, and explore their community. The SLI program reinforces academic, speech, daily living, and social & emotional skills. Programs include physical activity, nutrition, science & nature, music, art, currency, and use of interactive technology. Clients are frequently engaged the community through visits to the library, bowling center, local attractions, and cultural events.
