Services:

The La Porte County Public Library recognizes our community’s needs and meets expectations with innovative services and partnerships. We recognize the diversity of our community by creating accessible, friendly environments for all. We support initiatives and efforts that positively impact the quality of life for all people in La Porte County. We offer many services for all ages. Our digital collection has eBooks, eAudiobooks, eMagazines, children’s digital read-along books, and many online research and learning tools. Many of our locations feature a Play, Grow, Read area which helps supports the major components of our early literacy initiatives. Our Main location has a designated Makerspace, which supports people of all ages in learning STEAM technology (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) through hands-on experiences, and sharing of tools, knowledge, and local know-how.
