Reins of Life
Reins of Life (ROL) is a non-profit organization with 501c3 status. We are a therapeutic riding center serving people with mild to severe physical, emotional, cognitive, and social diagnosis, minimum age 2 years old with no maximum. Through mission “to improve the quality of life for children and adults with disabilities through equine-assisted therapy” we promote an inclusive environment for people of all walks of life, ages and abilities. Activities are held year-round. Therapeutic horseback riding is recognized as a form of therapy by the American Physical Therapy Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association.
Benefits through therapeutic riding are possible to persons with almost any disability, including muscular dystrophy, emotional disabilities, paralysis, visual impairments, multiple sclerosis, spina bifida, learning disabilities, brain injuries, mental retardation, hearing impairments, down syndrome, amputations, attention deficit disorder, autism, cerebral palsy, cardiovascular accidents/strokes, spinal cord injuries, sensory integration problems.
