Porter-Starke Services, a not-for-profit community mental health center with offices throughout Northwest Indiana. The Recovery Center La Porte provides a combination of medication and counseling services for people 18 years and older who are dependent on opioids. This approach to recovery is called medication-assisted treatment. While medications for MAT can include methadone, buprenorphine and naltrexone, Recovery Center specializes in methadone. Considered the number one evidence-based treatment for opioid use disorder, methadone is recognized by experts as the medication most likely to lead to long-term success. Operated under the close supervision of both a Medical Director and a Program Director, Recovery Center customizes care and treatment to help each person on their path to recovery.
