Special Education Students

Measurement Period: 2021
Public School students Pre-K through 12+ receiving Special Education.

Why is this important?

Special education programs are in place to serve individuals who have a disability that might interfere with educational progress. These disabilities can include autism, hearing and vision impairment, physical impairment, emotional disturbance, and developmental delay. Students with these disabilities are likely to benefit from additional educational services, such as different approaches to teaching, use of technology, and specifically adapted teaching areas. These educational strategies have been shown to help individuals achieve a higher level of personal self-sufficiency and success in school and in their community.
