Domestic Violence - Stepping Stone Shelter

Intimate Partner Violence is MORE than bloody lips and black eyes, but ALL abuse is about power and control.   Leaving an unhealthy relationship is a PROCESS not a single event. Survivors often leave a toxic relationship multiple times before they take that final step and this is OK! Breaking away from the chains of power & control that are tearing you down, especially by someone you love, is like the relentless grip of drug addiction.  More important to focus on is breaking away from the chains of shame, guilt, stigma, and judgement we feel for going back or in wondering why we stay. 

Stepping Stone is not here to judge you or make decisions for you. We are here to support you as you take the journey YOU will plan. We provide safe shelter and assistance with navigating systems like health care, education, transportation, child support, social services, and legal, as well as offer safety, support groups, food, clothing, and other basic needs.
